MARKET STRUCTURE IN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE: A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF THE TERMS PERFECT AND IMPERFECT COMPETITION

The purpose of this study is to examine the terms "perfect" and "imperfect" competition in market structure from an Islamic economic perspective. This employed a qualitative approach library research as its methodology. results literature review indicate that perfect has close relationship with concept. proximity reflected price, which determined according hadith Prophet Muhammad by supply demand. In addition, it believed can benefit both consumers producers. Moreover, elements imperfect oppress consumers, such monopolies, oligopolies, monopolistic practices, must be avoided. economics, however, there no concept because synonymous war, fighting, dumping, so term "competition" inappropriate.
